AIIMS Darbhanga Latest News and Updates - According to the most recent information, on Thursday, December 7, 2023, the Central Government received a new proposal from the Government of Bihar regarding the development of the state's second AIIMS at Shobhan in the Darbhanga district. This is undoubtedly the most exciting news for the people of Mithila. Mr. Pratyaya Amrit, Additional Chief Secretary of the Bihar government's Health Department, traveled to Delhi with the state government's new proposal and gave it to Mr. Sudhansh Pant, Secretary of the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

In response to the center's request, the state government has already moved to acquire land for the construction of Darbhanga AIIMS and has given Bihar Health and Infrastructure Corporation Limited responsibility over any earth-related things to do. Around 200 acres of land have currently been designated for AIIMS construction. In April alone, the state government approved the payment of Rs 309 crore for the filling, leveling, and building of this land's boundary wall. Four-lane connectivity is planned for Darbhanga AIIMS. Additionally, leveling the soil here is necessary to restore the water and electrical supplies. Additionally, the Central Government has been asked to build a new AIIMS in Darbhanga that will satisfy regional requirements.
