The MVPY Scheme was introduced on April 1st, 2019 by the state's honorable CM under Department of Social Welfare, Government of Bihar. A government-run old age pension program where the recipient would receive a monthly pension of Rs. 400 and the recipient who is 80 years or over would receive a monthly pension of Rs. 500. The minimum age requirement to enroll in this programme is 60 years old, and having an EPIC Card is now required. Aadhar Card is required. For DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer), Aadhar consent and bank account information with consent are required.
