Bihar Building and other Construction Welfare Board, Bihar(BOCW) - Mostly people of labour class are involved in agriculture in India, After agriculture, most of the labourers are employed in construction sector in state of Bihar. Keeping in view the welfare of construction workers of unorganized sector, Central Government has formulated Building and other Construction Workers Act 1996 and Building and other Construction Workers Cess Act 1996. Government of Bihar has constituted Bihar Building and other Construction Welfare Board in the month of February, 2008 for the welfare of Construction Workers.
