Mukhyamantri Gramin Solar Street Light Scheme launched today by honorable Chief Minister of Bihar - Mr. Nitish Kumar at Samvad, Patna. Mukhyamantri Gramin Solar Street Light Yojna is one of the important yojna for the Panchayati Raj Department, Government of Bihar. As per this scheme - There is a plan to establish 10 Solar Street Lights in every wards of all the villages and panchayats of Bihar. Minister of Panchayati Raj Department Mr. Shri Murari Prasad Gautam were also present today.
Mukhyamantri Gramin Solar Street Light Yojna - There are around 100 scheme which name starts with Mukhyamantri, Here comes the another scheme which also starts with Mukhyamantri, how effective is this scheme, for that we will have to wait and watch. To understand this newly launched scheme we have some limited information so far. So far we have some important updates regarding this scheme -
- A total 1177080 Solar Street Lights is to be installed in 109647 wards of all villages of Bihar.
- 10 Solar Street Light Per Ward is to be installed.
- All Panchayat of Bihar is to be covered under this scheme and Total Number of Panchayat right now is 8061.
- BREDA-Bihar Renewable Energy Development Agency will select agencies to maintain the street lights for five years.
- Remote Monitoring System has been developed to maintain and monitor the functionality.
- A cost of 30669.00 per unit for Solar Street Lights will be paid by Government for Mukhyamantri Gramin Solar Street Light Scheme.
- Government will have to pay total cost 36099866520.00 for all the Solar Street Lights in all the Villages of Bihar.
Benefits of Mukhyamantri Gramin Solar Street Light Yojna - All the urban area of Bihar is having proper lights but roads and most of the area of rural Bihar is in dark. There is not any proper systematic plan or scheme light. Today, CM Mr. Kumar has inaugurated the scheme to establish solar street lights at all the important places of every wards of every villages of 8061 Panchayats of Bihar. Now places like Temple, Aganwadi Kendra, Schools, Panchayat, Bhawan, Health Center etc. will have proper lights. If this scheme is executed successfully in all wards and villages of Bihar, It will definitely be a boon for people of rural Bihar who are still living in the dark. Also poor people will be able to use this light for various productive works and children can use this for their study as well.
