Planetarium cum Science Museum Darbhanga Inauguration on 12th January -
This planetarium built in Darbhanga is not only the most modern planetarium of Bihar. Rather, it will be the first planetarium in the state to be built on the green building concept. It is expected that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will dedicate this planetarium located in Darbhanga to the public on January 12 during Samadhan Yatra.

If we compare the existing planetarium across the state, this newly constructed planetarium cum science museum is unique in many ways. Design and infrastructure has been developed by the Architect of USA.
The Taramandal neighborhood of Darbhanga is relatively near to a national highway. There are numerous routes that branch off of National Highways, Bye Pass, and important population centers. The Government Polytechnic College is a well-known landmark with the largest premises in Darbhanga. The wisest decision was to build Taramandal cum Museum on this property. People can go on a variety of routes to get to the cutting-edge Planetarium and Science Museum, where they can learn, conduct research, and hang out.
- The planetarium complex consists of three primary buildings. which includes a 150-seat planetarium combined with a science museum, a 300-seat auditorium combined with a theatre, and a 50-seat orientation hall.
